At Headway Agriventures Ltd, we are launching an innovative cabbage project aimed at enhancing the livelihoods of smallholder farmers in Kenya. This initiative focuses on creating a sustainable supply chain that directly connects farmers with markets, reducing reliance on intermediaries and increasing their profits. By implementing efficient farming practices and leveraging data-driven strategies, we aim to ensure higher quality produce and minimize post-harvest losses, which can exceed 40% in current market conditions​

Our Solution

Our solution involves establishing aggregation centers within farming communities to streamline the marketing process for cabbage. By gathering produce from local farmers, we will consolidate it at these centers, ensuring that it meets quality standards before being sold to bulk buyers such as distributors, wholesalers, and supermarkets. This approach not only enhances market access for farmers but also reduces inefficiencies in the supply chain, allowing farmers to receive fair compensation for their crops
